(English) Under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, a meeting was held via videoconferencing to analyze the progress of the implementation of projects that raised funds from international financial institutions.

(English) President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States.

(English) On September 16, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the city of Samarkand.

(English) The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) allocated €100 million for the construction of a thermal power plant in the Surkhandarya region. This was reported in Gulf Business.

(English) Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a loan from the UAE for the modernization of the road and water supply network in Samarkand. The lender is the Abu Dhabi Development Fund. The project was provided for by an investment agreement signed during the President’s visit to the UAE in 2019.

(English) The Decree of the President “On measures to improve the activities of the Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted. According to the document, “Management Company of the Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan” JSC will begin its activities as an investment company “Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan” in the form of LLC.
