(English) The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) allocated €100 million for the construction of a thermal power plant in the Surkhandarya region. This was reported in Gulf Business.

(English) Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a loan from the UAE for the modernization of the road and water supply network in Samarkand. The lender is the Abu Dhabi Development Fund. The project was provided for by an investment agreement signed during the President’s visit to the UAE in 2019.

According to the document, “Management Company of the Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan” JSC will begin its activities as an investment company “Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan” in the form of LLC.
