(English) According to the results of last year, Uzbekistan mastered $11.1 billion of foreign investments – this is 113% of the annual forecast. Investments in fixed assets amounted to $9.8 billion, demonstrating a growth rate of 110% compared to 2020 indicators.

(English) According to the results of January-May 2022, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables amounted to 335.1 million US dollars, in physical terms – 615.7 thousand tons.  The growth rate compared to the same period in 2021 amounted to 15.0%.

(English) The largest deposit of extra-viscous oil and bitumen in Uzbekistan has been discovered in the Zerafshan valley. The field was discovered by the joint efforts of Sanoat Energetika Guruhi (SEG) and Kontiki-Exploration. It was called “Yangi Uzbekiston” (“New Uzbekistan”).

(English) The Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank approved a $143 million concessional loan for Uzbekistan. The funds will be used by the government of the country to finance a project to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings and develop the institutional and regulatory framework to attract investment in clean energy in the building sector.

(English) The Uzbekistan GTL plant has officially released the first batch of synthetic oil in the history of the petrochemical industry in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
