USAID announced the start of accepting applications for grants for business development in Uzbekistan

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced the acceptance of applications for a Business Support Project (BSP) grant in Uzbekistan.

The initiative is aimed at improving entrepreneurship and the business environment in the textile industry, tourism, green economy and IT.

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, investment hubs, coworking spaces and other organizations can take part in BSP. Particular attention will be paid to initiatives that will empower women, youth and vulnerable segments of the population.

The amount of co-financing will be $25 thousand – $100 thousand. Small and medium-sized businesses, non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs) must provide 50% of the project cost.

Small and medium enterprises, NGOs that are focused on supporting women, youth and vulnerable groups of the population can contribute 20% of the cost of the proposed initiative.

Application deadlines from nominees are accepted by email UZBSP-Grants@thepalladiumgroup.com from March 5 to April 10, 2024, from October 1 to October 31, 2024 and from May 1 to May 31, 2025.

In this case, the application must describe the essence of the project on a maximum of three pages in one of three languages – Uzbek, Russian or English.

USAID emphasized that on March 28, an online meeting will be held on the project’s Telegram channel to clarify the BSP.
