According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 6 months of 2024, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Republic of Uzbekistan in current prices amounted to 567,364.3 billion soums and increased in real terms by 6.4% compared to January-June 2023.
The GDP deflator index, in relation to prices in January-June 2023, amounted to 112.5 %.

When calculated in US dollars at the average exchange rate for the reporting period, nominal GDP amounted to 45 147.2 million US dollars.
In January-June 2024, a positive contribution to GDP growth was made by agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 0.7 percentage points, industry – 2.0 percentage points, construction – 0.6 percentage points and service sector – 2.8 p.p. Due to the increase in net taxes on products, GDP increased by 0.3 percentage points.
Gross added value created by all sectors of the economy amounted to 95.8 % of total GDP and increased by 6.5 % (contribution to GDP growth – 6.1 percentage points). Net taxes on products in the structure of GDP amounted to 4.2 % and, compared to January-June 2023, they increased by 4.8 % (contribution to GDP growth – 0.3 percentage points).
Based on the results of January-June 2024, minor changes were noted in the sectoral structure of GDP. Thus, the share of the service sector in the sectoral structure of GDP (GVA) increased from 47.0 % to 47.9 %, industry – from 26.5 % to 27.8 %, while the share of agriculture, forestry and fisheries decreased from 20.1 % to 18.2 %, construction – from 6.4 % to 6.1 %.
In January-June 2024, GDP per capita in current prices amounted to 15,347.9 thousand soums (or equivalently $1,221.3).
