Total Construction Works Performed
In January–February 2025, the volume of construction works performed in Uzbekistan amounted to 26,339.5 billion UZS, which is 111.8% compared to the same period in 2024.
During the reporting period, high volumes of construction works were recorded in the regions, particularly in Tashkent city (8,006.3 billion UZS), Tashkent region (3,372.0 billion UZS), and Samarkand region (1,613.3 billion UZS).

Construction Works by Type: New Construction, Reconstruction, Expansion, and Technical Modernization
A significant portion of the works was carried out for the construction of new buildings and facilities. In particular, 74.3% of the total volume, or 19,571.8 billion UZS, was directed towards the creation of new production capacities in the economic sector, utilities, and other social facilities. Among them:
- Large construction organizations – 4,534.9 billion UZS (23.2%)
- Small enterprises and micro-firms – 8,444.1 billion UZS (43.1%)
- Informal sector – 6,592.8 billion UZS (33.7%)
High volumes of new construction works were recorded in the following regions:
Tashkent city (5,366.3 billion UZS), Tashkent region (2,321.6 billion UZS), Samarkand region (1,222.5 billion UZS), and Fergana region (1,193.5 billion UZS).
Construction Works by Type of Economic Activity
The distribution of construction works in the Republic of Uzbekistan by economic activity during the reporting period is as follows:
- Construction of buildings and structures – 71.9% of total volume (113.7% compared to 2024)
- Construction of civil facilities – 17.1% (101.1% compared to 2024)
- Specialized construction works – 11.0% (118.3% compared to 2024)
Key Indicators: Construction of Buildings and Structures
- The share of works carried out by large construction organizations in the total structure of buildings and structures reached 19.6% (up by 6.9 percentage points compared to 2024).
- The share of small enterprises and micro-firms decreased by 4.4 percentage points to 41.0%.
- The share of the informal sector decreased by 2.5 percentage points to 39.4%.
Regions with the highest shares of building and structure construction in total regional construction volume:
Jizzakh (82.5%), Surkhandarya (77.3%), and Kashkadarya (75.7%).
Key Indicators: Construction of Civil Facilities
- The share of works performed by large construction organizations in civil facility construction was 23.6% (down by 3.6 percentage points compared to 2024).
- The share of small enterprises and micro-firms reached 76.4% (up by 3.9 percentage points).
Regions with the highest shares of civil facility construction in total regional construction volume:
Samarkand (46.0%), Bukhara (29.7%), and Syrdarya (22.7%).
Key Indicators: Specialized Construction Works
- The share of works performed by large construction organizations in specialized construction was 23.8% (down by 1.3 percentage points compared to 2024).
- The share of small enterprises and micro-firms in this activity was 76.2% (up by 1.3 percentage points).
Regions with the highest shares of specialized construction in total regional construction volume:
Tashkent city (16.3%), Bukhara (15.6%), and Namangan (15.1%).
Structure of Construction Works by Type of Enterprise
- The volume of works carried out by large construction organizations in January–February 2025 amounted to 5,458.5 billion UZS (138.3% compared to the same period in 2024). Their share in the total volume rose by 3.9 percentage points to 20.7%.
- The share of small enterprises and micro-firms was 51.0%, which is 2.7 percentage points less than in 2024. Their total construction volume reached 13,423.7 billion UZS (106.8% compared to 2024).
- The informal sector accounted for 28.3% of total construction works, or 7,457.3 billion UZS (105.7% compared to the same period in 2024).
Breakdown of informal sector construction:
- Individual housing construction – 5,677.2 billion UZS (106.7% compared to 2024)
- Construction of non-residential facilities by individuals – 915.6 billion UZS (101.0%)
- Individual repairs – 864.5 billion UZS (104.2%)
Regions with the highest growth rates in construction by large organizations:
Namangan (260.7%), Jizzakh (201.0%), and Tashkent region (198.8%).
Regions with the highest growth rates by small enterprises and micro-firms:
Syrdarya (117.9%), Samarkand (114.3%), and Andijan (107.7%).
Regions with the highest growth rates by the informal sector:
Tashkent region (115.7%), Namangan (109.4%), and Khorezm (105.8%).
