Uzbekistan’s President signed a decree approving a comprehensive privatization program for 2025, aimed at reducing state involvement in the economy, attracting private investment, and fostering economic growth.

According to the press release by the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Statistics, the country's economy continues to demonstrate sustainable investment growth, creating a solid foundation for further development.

The President of Uzbekistan was presented with information on the work done in the investment sector for the first quarter of 2025, as well as priority tasks for the future.

The Uzbekistan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 6.4% in January-March 2025. The price index compared to December of the previous year was 102.1%.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to stimulate production, export and entrepreneurial activity, increasing the efficiency of trade and industrial policy” (No. PD-67 dated 04/18/2025), ‘golden visas’ for foreigners will be introduced from June 1, 2025.

On April 18 a meeting was held under the chairmanship of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on discussing measures aimed at decreasing the negative impacts of economic instability on the sectors of our country.
