The Board of Directors of the World Bank has approved a financial package in the amount of $800 million to support the reform program in Uzbekistan aimed at accelerating the transition to an inclusive and sustainable market economy.

The World Bank will provide $100 million in financing to help the authorities improve access to and the quality of social services for vulnerable groups in Uzbekistan.

In September 2024, the composite Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Uzbekistan amounted to 101.2%. For January-September 2024, the CPI amounted to 106.8%. In annual terms, the composite CPI amounted to 110.5%

According to the latest edition of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Regional Economic Prospects report, the short-term regional economic outlook for Central Asia remains positive.

The Asian Development Bank has raised the growth forecast of Uzbekistan's economy from 5.5% to 6% by the end of 2024. In 2025, the bank forecasts Uzbekistan's economy to grow by 6.2%.
