According to preliminary data from the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan for January-May of 2023 amounted to 25.8 billion US dollars, an increase of 5.2 billion US dollars or 25.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
Of the total volume of the FTT, exports amounted to 10 511.5 million US dollars (by January-May 2022, an increase of 24.1%), and imports – 15 306.2 million US dollars (an increase of 26.4%). As a result, the balance of foreign trade turnover was negative in the amount of – 4 794.7 million US dollars.
To date, the Republic of Uzbekistan has trade relations with 182 countries of the world.
The largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded with China (17.6%), Russia (14.9%), Kazakhstan (7.5%), Turkey (5.0%), the Republic of Korea (4.0%), Germany (3.5%) and Kyrgyzstan (1.6%).
