The World Bank will support entrepreneurs from Central Asian countries

The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the program for expanding global accessibility to e-commerce (EGATE).

The initiative is being implemented by the World Bank to support entrepreneurs from Central Asian countries. It is aimed at expanding opportunities for digital business and increasing sales in foreign markets via the Internet.

To participate, companies are required to complete a survey and provide basic information about their activities. This will allow the World Bank to better understand the work and needs of local firms in order to determine support measures for marketing their products through B2B platforms.

One hundred study participants will be able to achieve free Gold Supplier status on Alibaba.com. Now its cost is about $6,000 per year.

Membership on the site allows you to gain direct access to foreign wholesale buyers. Gold Supplier clients are also provided with mentoring, 24/7 support and other benefits.

The questionnaire consists of 32 questions and, according to the compilers, will require up to 30 minutes to complete. The World Bank guarantees the confidentiality of the information provided in the survey.
