Currently, there are 21 special economic zones (SEZs) operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, 19 of which are specialized in industry (FEZ), 1 in agriculture and 1 in the tourism sector, 116 directorates of small industrial zones (hereinafter referred to as SIZ), 12 technoparks and 440 clusters, which included: in the FEZ – 512 enterprises, SIZ – 1,865, technoparks – 58 and clusters – 446 enterprises.
The volume of industrial production for the specified period amounted to only 13877.4 billion soums, including: in the FEZ – 5454.5 billion soums, SIZ – 947.9, technology parks – 111.0 and clusters – 7364.0 billion soums . The largest volume of industrial production was recorded in clusters – 7364.0 billion soums.
For comparison: in January-March 2021, the total volume of industrial production amounted to 9610.9 billion soums, including: in the FEZ – 3281.0 billion soums, refineries – 672.4 billion soums, technoparks – 87.8 billion soums soums and clusters – 5569.8 billion soums.
In the first quarter of 2022, the volume of investments in fixed assets from all sources of financing totaled 1,052.8 billion soums, of which:
in FEZ – 669.5 billion soums, SIZ – 93.6 billion soums, technology parks – 9.9 billion soums and clusters – 279.8 billion soums.
For comparison: in the 1st quarter of 2021, the amount of profit (loss) of enterprises before paying income tax totaled 329.9 billion soums, including: in the FEZ – -116.5 billion soums, SIZ – 111.5 , technology parks – 3.6 and clusters – 331.3 billion soums.
The volume of shipped products (goods and services) outside the republic (export) totaled 2,365.1 billion soums, including: in the FEZ – 752.4 billion soums, MPZ – 236.9, technology parks – 33.4 and clusters – 1342.4 billion soums.
