Consumer Price Index in the Republic of Uzbekistan (December 2024)

According to data from the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in December 2024, the consolidated CPI in Uzbekistan was 101.04%. On an annual basis (compared to December 2023), this indicator reached 109.8%.

Based on calculations, the average monthly growth of the consolidated CPI for January-December 2024 was 0.8%.

In December 2024, the CPI for goods increased by 1.2% compared to the previous month (101.2% against 101.0% a month earlier). This is comparable to the figure for December 2023 and lower than the levels recorded in December 2020-2022.

For services, the short-term CPI in December 2024 was 100.7%, which is 0.8 percentage points lower than the 2023 figure.

The annual CPI for December 2024 was recorded at 104.7% for goods and 126.7% for services.

Note:
The CPI is an important indicator of inflation in the consumer sector and one of the key elements for assessing the socio-economic condition of the country.

The CPI reflects changes in the cost of a fixed basket, which includes 420 goods and 90 services. Over 10,000 retail outlets and service providers are surveyed monthly, and more than 120,000 price quotes are recorded.
