Uzbekistan’s GDP is expected to grow by 6% in 2025, according to a report by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The EBRD report, titled “Growth slows in EBRD regions amid fragmenting trade and investment“, highlights that Uzbekistan’s GDP will increase by 6% in 2025.
In 2026, Uzbekistan’s GDP is also projected to grow by 6%. The EBRD noted that Uzbekistan demonstrated strong economic growth in 2024, driven by the services sector.
“Inflation peaked at 10.6% in mid-2024 due to energy price liberalization but has since gradually declined, reaching 9.8% in December 2024,” the report states.
Regarding regional trends, the EBRD forecasts that the economies of Central Asian countries will grow by 5.7% in 2025.
