According to forecasts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in 2023, the Gross Domestic Product (at current prices) of the Republic of Uzbekistan will amount to 90.4 billion US dollars, the general government gross debt will reach 35.1% of GDP, and in 2024 it will decrease to 34.8 % of GDP.

For information on the IMF forecasts:
- the total size of the US general government gross debt in 2023 will reach 123.3% of GDP, and in 2024 it will increase to 126.9% of GDP;
- China’s general government gross debt will exceed 100% of GDP in 2027, and will grow to 104.3% of GDP in 2028;
- Russia’s general government gross debt will also increase to 21.2% of GDP in 2023, and to 21.8% of GDP in 2024;
- Ukraine’s general government gross debt will reach 88.1% of GDP in 2023, and in 2025 it will exceed 100% of GDP.
