Results of the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. CENTRAL ASIA”

From April 25 to 27, 2022, the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. CENTRAL ASIA” was held at the Tashkent Congress and Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocentre”.

Within the framework of the exhibition, more than 700 exhibitors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, France, Turkey, Germany – representatives of the largest companies, as well as medium and small businesses, demonstrated their products.

 

One of the key events of the Exhibition was the main plenary session, held under the slogan “Central Asia: the space of a technological breakthrough”, in which the heads of delegations of the participating countries took part: Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation D. Manturov, Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus P. Parkhomchik, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic D. Amangeldiyev, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia V. Kerobyan, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sh. Kabirov and other officials.

Speaking during the plenary session, the head of the Uzbek delegation S. Umurzakov listed the successes achieved by Uzbekistan in implementing large-scale socio-economic reforms, improving the public administration system, building a transparent market economy and increasing the role of the private sector in it, improving the investment climate and removing trade barriers. He also announced the priority areas for further development of the country’s economic and investment potential, including the implementation of effective administrative reforms, the reduction of the state’s share in the economy, the digitalization of industry, business support, infrastructure development, stimulation of high value-added production through deep processing of raw materials and the creation of finished commodity chains, human capital development and foreign trade liberalization.

“The countries of Central Asia have great potential for building up trade and economic relations. Today’s realities require us to take decisive steps to form a new model of economic cooperation in Central Asia. Our economic partnership can be much larger and develop on the basis of complementarity and effective cooperation. We in Uzbekistan have been working on an ongoing basis with each of the neighboring countries in Central Asia and a number of other countries for several years now in order to find “growth points” for linking the capabilities of our economies and achieving breakthroughs in industrial cooperation,” he noted in his speech. S. Umurzakov.

Representatives of state authorities, professional visitors and buyers from more than 15 countries also took part in the Exhibition. The total number of visitors exceeded 10 thousand.
