Lonely Planet named Uzbekistan the best tourist destination

During the international travel exhibition “World Travel Mart”, held in London on November 6-8 this year, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Tourism Jamshid Abdusalamov was awarded a special certificate in connection with the victory in the nomination “Uzbekistan – the best travel destination” for 2024. The certificate was presented by the vice-president of one of the most famous tourist publications in the world “Lonely Planet” Tom Brody.

For information: “Lonely Planet” – a publisher of travel guides and travel books, established in Australia in 1973, has published more than 150 million books. There are about 15 million daily observers.

On October 25 this year, among 10 countries (Benin, Chile, Croatia, India, Pakistan, Mexico, Morocco, St. Lucia and Uzbekistan) experts of Lonely Planet publishing house recognized Uzbekistan as the winner.

“From oasis to oasis throughout Uzbekistan, travelers continue to follow the trade networks of past centuries.
